The problem most authors face though is that coming up with the right keywords and categories is extremely hard. There are a lot of components to think about and ways to approach it.

This was a most informative course. Dave's experience shines through on a subject that all authors must learn to master in order to boost a steady flow of sales. If you have a copy of PublisherRocket, I highly recommend this course. Even if you don't, it's a huge eye-opener about how Amazon's keywords and categories work. (But seriously, who wants to do all that pesky research manually?) I'd been sitting on my copy of Rocket for about a year when I discovered this course. I had played around with it a bit, but didn't feel as confident as I would like. This course really changed that for me, and made me feel like I was getting the most out of the program. The lessons are straightforward, easy to follow, and good to revisit as a refresher whenever you might need it.
As a first time author, I had no idea how Amazon keywords and categories worked. I only wish I knew of this course earlier in the process. I strongly recommend you gain understanding as soon as possible about how to most effectively use these tools to promote your books. I can't think of a better instructor. Even though I have been a published author for the past 5 years, I found this class to be very helpful and enlightening. Dave explains keywords in a clear and concise way that made the lightbulb in my head finally turn on. I have read a ton of articles and listened to many podcasts and youtube videos re: keywords, but none of them compared to Dave's class. I have KDP Rocket and use it all the time for keyword listing when publishing and for marketing with Amazon Ads and Facebook. The good thing is that if you don't have KDP Rocket (for me it was an invaluable investment since it cuts the keyword research down substantially), you can still do the research according to the methods that Dave explains in the course. The course is great for new and old authors alike.
I'm a big Dave fan. I think I've taken all of his courses over the years, except one I just saw about mailers. He makes complicated subjects easy to understand and packs a lot of information into each course for an extremely reasonable price. The keyword course is one that everybody needs to take. I also have the KDP Rocket.
