Hi, I’m Dave!
Learn who is Dave Chesson, Kindlepreneur?
I’m 34 years old and an 11 year veteran of the US Navy. I was also a military kid and so have lived in all corners of the globe. But that’s not what defines me. After my family, my real passion is books, but more specifically the new world of Kindle e-books. I’ve made a pretty decent side income out of them.
You could say ‘I have a certain set of skills’ 😉
If I had to describe myself, I would start by saying I’m a husband and a father first and foremost. But when I am not playing dress up or chasing the Bogey Man out of the closet, I am an online entrepreneur specializing in Kindle e-book marketing.
But it hasn’t always been that way.
I started my adult hustle by commissioning into the US Navy. There I had this crazy dream to one day become a nuclear engineer and despite how challenging it was for me, I finally made it and passed all the god-forsaken exams and interviews.
But in the end, I wasn’t happy with my new work life. I was away from home all the time, missed out of family events and just became disconnected. Life was passing me by and I was missing out on it.
While still in the Navy, I spent my nights working on the side hustle: online marketing. I started by creating niche websites and earning advertisement and affiliate commissions. After spending years practicing and learning Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as more of an obsession than a hobby, I quickly expanded my website arsenal to 27 different sites, all of which are used for different online purposes and endeavors.
But it wasn’t until I discovered self-publishing on Amazon that I kicked it into the next gear. Combining my SEO knowledge and website development experience with Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), I found my mark.
So Why the Kindlepreneur Blog?
Well first off because I am super passionate about the subject. Just ask my poor wife. I talk her ear off about the subject all the time.
Having spent years working with other self-publishing authors, I realized that the number one problem that people were having wasn’t writing the book, but marketing it once they had it published. Starting websites? Gaining traffic? Advertising? Optimization? Boolean Search Criteria? These were all foreign concepts and not what writers wanted to spend their time doing.

So Where Are Your Books?
You might have noticed that there are NO authors on KDP named Dave Chesson… and you would be right. So, whats the deal?
When I started my path down self publishing, I was unsure of sooo many things. So I chose to use different pen names on each and every book.
Fast forward to now, and I have created multiple consistent bestselling books that generate traffic from all sorts of sources and not just Amazon. Now, I could take all those books and place them under my name, but I realized something…
It’s easy for a famous writer to use his or her tribe to generate their sales and ensure they are always #1. All Guy Kawasaki and other authors need to do is just write a book and their previous success will carry it to the NYT bestselling list.
Bottom line is: My Tactics Will Help You With or Without a Name!
But, my books will not be a secret. Instead, this site will use them and their platform as prime example of any lesson discussed. So stay tuned and find out how a bunch of no fame, pen names created consistent passive income from their books. Fame helps, but how you get there is the real important AND hard part.
Now, I will tell you I am not a “self-proclaimed” guru. I’m just a guy who LOVES online marketing and will test it all so as to provide you awesome people with the best of data.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, especially those of you who persisted on to the bottom. If you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to contact me here. I will absolutely do my best to get back to you asap.
